2019 Tracer study result of Electrical Power Engineering

In order to improve and develop the quality and education system, the Electrical Power Engineering Study Program (EP) ITB conducts a tracer study by collecting feedback data from EP ITB alumni, which is also useful in mapping preferences and career suitability after postgraduate from the EP Study Program. The results of the 2019 tracer study carried out on 66 EP alumni of 2012, found that as many as 98% of the alumni have responded, as the first place in the percentage of alumni participation in STEI.

From the data collected, it was found that 1% do not have job, 18% continued their studies, and the rest had worked or had their own business with 70% level of relevancy with EP program study. There are 2 alumni who continue their studies in the country and as many as 10 abroad, covering the Netherlands, Sweden, South Korea, and Japan. In addition, there are 42 alumni who already have jobs inside the country as well as 2 alumni abroad which spread to local, national and multinational companies.

With the variety of activities while being an EP student, 98% of the alumni have active organizations status with positions ranging from members to becoming chairman of the organization. In addition, the alumni provide 4/5 assessment satisfaction in the aspect of subject variations during teaching and learning activities, scholarship opportunities, and the suitability of knowledge gained with work field as well as career information, self-development and job opportunities.

Some of the basic competencies possessed by EP ITB alumni with a mastery level of 4/5 or more, including but not limited to the ability to analyze and interpret data, solve complex problems, critical thinking, work in teams and individuals, emotional intelligence, judgment and decision making, adaptation to the environment, honesty, loyalty and integrity, working under pressure, ethics and professional responsibility as well as the implementation of technical science in everyday life.
